Task 5

As you can see from the line graph and the table below, it shows the number of annual visits to Australia by overseas residents and gives information on the country of origin where the visitors come from.

In the line graph between 1975 and 1985 the number of annual visits to Australia  increased by about five million so it reached 15 million. The next ten years in 1995 it was sharply increased to about 25 million. From 1995 to 2005 it continued to increase till it reached more than 30 million.

In the table it shows visitors from different countries who visited Australia between 1975 and 2005. In 1975 the highest number was from Japan, about 3.2million, whereas the lowest was from China. In 2005 Japan still had the highest number of visitors to Australia, 12 million, and still the lowest number of visitors was from China.

In conclusion, I think the number of visitors to Australia will still increase in future.

Task 6

Many people think that trade and travel will be easy with a global currency that we all use. It might be good for people but isn’t good for organization and for government. In this essay I will write about that argument.

On the one hand, a lot of people believe each country must have its own currency for many reasons. The first reason is that the currency should belong to the country. Another reason is there are many crises are under one currency for example, in the EU they are under one currency which is euro. Because of that some countries can’t hold the tax of getting one currency and get crises such as Greece and Spain. In the EU some countries are rich and the rest are poor.

On the other hand, some people think if there is just one global currency it would be easier to trade and travel. So that people don’t need to go to an exchange and change the currency and lose some of the money for profit.

In conclusion, I believe different currencies are good to avoid the crises and financial problems.

using Mobile phone while driving

There are many studies saying that using mobile phones while driving should be banned. The lawmakers banned the use of cell phones and text messaging devices while driving. Some people agree and others disagree with that law. In this essay I will write about that issue.
On the one hand, it’s very important that the driver has a cell phone for emergency situations. For example, sometimes the driver doesn’t know the area and gets some information about the direction while driving. Also sometimes people or the driver can’t stop the car to just answer. For instance, while are driving on the highway the majority will use the phone.
On the other hand, although there are certain pressures on you to use the phone while driving, there are many reasons to not use that habit. The main reason is that there are many accidents caused by people using their phones while they are driving. Also you would pose a threat to others. In addition, people must stop the car then use the phone for their safety.
In conclusion, I think that people must not use the phones while they drive.

Task 4 the competition among the children

It’s a worldwide issue. Some people believe that a feeling of competition in children should be supported. Other people think that children who are trained to cooperate rather than compete become more useful adults. In this case I will write the argument between the two kinds of thinking.
On the one hand, many people believe that competition among children has many benefits. However some families use that method with their kids. For example, who will do his work will get that thing. People think if you put group of people in competition you will get the best results. In addition, many people think if you made a spirit of competition among the group it would be a healthy environment.
On the other hand, although there are a lot of benefits in competition there is a group of people who think that we should educate the children to be more cooperative to each other. Also people think competition breeds hatred among children so some people prefer the cooperative method. For example, rewards and collective punishment will lead the group of children to be more cooperative.
In conclusion, I believe that both sides are right but to a reasonable limit. You can get their power by using both methods depend of the situation.

Task 3 Balanced diet

There are a lot of studies about healthy life. However, many people claim that a balanced diet or eating balanced meals is the way to a healthy life. In this essay I will write the argument about a healthy life.
On the one hand, many people believe that the balanced diet or eating balanced meals helps to reduce their weight and have a good body shape, for example keeping away from junk food and all kinds of chocolate will be healthy. Also you can add some work out, for instant some people put in their mind that taking some supplementary exercise will help to avoid eating much food. Also herbal medicine will do the same job.
On the other hand, some people don’t think that only the food without some work out will give benefits. For example, walking for 15 km per week will be enough, some people said. Also many people think that a voiding some kinds of food will not help even if it’s essential.
In conclusion, I think that both sides are right because taking healthy food is not enough for some people but it might be enough for others. Also doing some workout and taking supplementary additives affects some people but not others. Before I decide regarding this issue I have to visit my doctor to get the rights things.

Task 2

As you can see from the two charts, they show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers in the UK.
The first charts shows that the younger people are caring about their career which is the highest about 80% whereas the lowest is those above 49 which shows below 20%. And vice versa in interest. In their thirties the percentage of studying for career reduces to below 60%, in contrast the interest increase. ‘Between’ 40 to 49 the career studies and interest studies are the same about 40%.
The second chart shows the amount of support to employees. The highest one is under 26 group and the lowest group is the thirties group.
In conclusion, younger people are looking to improve their skills and getting courses to obtain higher positions in the future.

Portfolio Task 1

As you can see from the table, it shows the sales at a small restaurant in a downtown America business district.
The table below divides into two parts per week, lunch time and dinner time. The sales for dinner are more than the lunch sales. The sales on Monday are $2400 for lunch and $3623 for dinner. The next day, the sales slightly increased by about $50 for lunch and about $200 for dinner. On Wednesday the sales in that restaurant increased at lunch time whereas they dropped at dinner time. The following day the lunch sales went down more than $150 but the dinner sales increased by $300. On Friday we can see the sales stayed on same at lunch time whereas it was extremely increased at dinner time, $4350.at the weekend the sales dropped down.
Overall, I think that there are simple changes in the sales during the week except on Friday. People don’t come to the restaurant on Sunday.

Population growth, 1750 to 2150.

As you can see from the graph, it shows the world population growth in richer and poorer countries from 1750 to 2150.
Between 1750 and 1800 the growth of population in less developed countries was gradual. The more developed countries were the same. In 1900 the growth was slightly increased in both poorer and richer countries. The growth rose in 1950 and it reached 2 billion. After 1950 to 2000 the world population increased rapidly and reached 6.1 billion. But the increase was only in poor countries. The United Nations expects it will reached 10 billion by 2150.
In conclusion, the studies show the increase in the world population and what I believe is that the poorer people will increase and the world will suffer. With high population in the world natural resources will be consumed.
